Paradise at Mount Rainier

I went with my Grandparents up to Paradise at Mount Rainier in Washington State on Sunday for brunch. Mount Rainier is 14,410 Feet tall and is the highest peak in the Cascade Range. Paradise is located at 5,400 feet up the Mount and has an observatory and the Paradise Inn. From were I grew up in Tacoma the Mountain would linger over the city like a ghost in the sky, that is on clear days. Mount Rainier as always been a family favorite with my Grandfather taking numerous day and over night scouting trips on the Mountain back in the 70's.As you can image the weather was not the most ideal that day it was not raining but it was rather cloudy. But my philosophy is you can not wait for the weather but make the best of it. Although it would be nice to go back up when I can actually see the Mountain!I love taking photos the one above is my personal favorite of all the pictures I took.

Change in Season

Praise the Lord. Were to start well how about the beginning:

I have just finished my four year commitment in the United States Army. I was stationed in Hawaii for most of the time which I throughly enjoyed.

I did not expect to get out of the Army unit January 2010, but the Lord had better plans. During my 15 months in Iraq, the Lord drew me into a closer relationship with Him. While in Iraq the Lord said to me in a very clear and distinctive way, saying, 'I am quickening your time to get of the Army; you have learned what you need to learn.' I will never in my life forget those words He so lovingly spoke to me.

So to summarize, the Lord gave me favor with my supervisors and everything fell perfectly into place for me to get out.

I am spending time with family right now in Washington State.

In September I will be traveling across country to visit relatives and (eventually) ending in Kansas City, Kansas. I will be going to the International House of Prayer. Not sure if I will be taking classes or not but, I do know that the Lord has called me down there for a season.
I am quite excited for the New Season the Lord has for me. I am excited to get to know Him closer. My official end date from the Army was 08-08-08, eight being the number for new beginnings!
